Mika’s Message

Mika Zibanejad posted a message to fans and teammates alike on Instagram.

Panarin Stanley Birdhouse

Artemi Panarin posted a brief video on Instagram of him building a birdhouse and then lifting and kissing it over his head. I guess it was quite a feat for him.

NHL Updates

NHL teams have been told that it will be at least one full week — and perhaps longer — before they can reopen facilities for players to do small-group skates/workouts.

There are still no confirmed COVID-19 cases among NHL players. Of course, some may be asymptomatic or awaiting test results at this stage.

Regarding college free agent signings for NHL teams, business as usual for future year contracts. But no current year contracts allowed until anyone knows what the current year looks like. So for now, any signing means the deal is dated July 1 and goes into effect next season.
