Rangers seek to ground Jets in hostile territory (NYR v. WPG 8PM)
The Blueshirts are right back at it again tonight against the Winnipeg Jets in front of one of the best crowds in the NHL. Don’t believe me? Read this piece on Jets’ fans on FullTilt Hockey Network.
Henrik Lundqvist is expected back in net tonight and I expect a much better Lundqvist. The Jets hold the last wild card spot in the West with 90 points. They have no breathing room as the L.A. Kings are right behind them with 88 points. Each have 6 games remaining. So expect another hungry and desperate hockey team.
GAME 76: New York Rangers v. Winnipeg Jets, MTS Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba 8PM
To make matters worse, the Jets have won 6 of their last 8 games and are playing inspired hockey with wins against Montreal, St. Louis and Tampa Bay. The Rangers are losers in 3 of their last 4 and will need to summon a full 60 minute effort to ground the Jets.
