Season Series: (1-0)
Via NYR official site– Tuesday’s contest is the second and final one this season between the Rangers and Flames. The Rangers skated away with a 5-2 victory at the Calgary Saddledome back on December 16, skating to a 4-0 lead midway through the second period before easing their way to victory. Rick Nash scored twice for New York while Derek Stepan had a goal and an assist, and Chris Kreider may have had the game’s most important goal–the one that put the Rangers up 2-0 with 7.8 seconds to play in the first period. Henrik Lundqvist made 29 saves, while Karri Ramo stopped just 18 of 23 shots in defeat.
