Rd1 Gm2: Time for the Rangers to show true dominance (PIT v NYR 8PM)
In game one the Rangers came out firing on all cylinders. They opened the scoring 28 seconds in and it looked like they would run the Pens out of the building.
Tonight, the Blueshirts need to replicate that same speed and intensity of the first period and apply it for a full 60 minutes. They allowed Pittsburgh to believe that they could contend in game one because of the final score. This can’t continue.
Pittsburgh has a fragile psyche and Marc-Andre Fleury, aka: The Flower could wilt under pressure. It’s time for the Rangers to prove that they are by far the better team and crush any hopes the Penguins may have.

Coach Johnston: “We have to do a little bit more as far as the volume of shots. We’ve got to get our shot total up into the 35 range.” — Pittsburgh Penguins (@penguins) April 17, 2015
Crosby: “You become much more aware after Game 1, so our start & being tentative has to be better. We were definitely guilty of doing both.”
