Tony DeAngelo arrives, all Rangers roster players in NY
And the gangs all here.
Tony DeAngelo arrived in NY to participate in the preparation for Phase 3 which should start in 6 days. Yesterday, Ryan Strome arrived as well. All the players on the big club’s roster are in Tarrytown, NY.
DeAngelo arrives in New York
Ever active on social media, DeAngelo tweeted to fans, “Driving back to NY today.” He then implored fans to stop asking him where he’s at. “Did you guys think it was going to be holdout #2?”, he laughed.
DeAngelo holdout and RFA status
Some fans may recall that he was a late signing during training camp. It wasn’t until the exhibition games began that DeAngelo inked his one year deal. Being a restricted free agent without arbitration rights, he was forced to sign his qualifying offer.

That will be a totally different story this offseason. DeAngelo is an RFA with arbitration rights and could score a big raise off his 53 point season. The Rangers will look to at least get the 24 year-old DeAngelo on a reasonable bridge deal around 2-3 years.
