When NHL play resumes, Chris Kreider will be good to go

The Rangers playoff hopes were dealt a huge blow when Chris Kreider blocked a shot in the first period with 7 minutes remaining against the Flyers on February 28th. The team announced he had fractured his foot and Jeff Gorton gave a 4-6 week timetable. Yesterday, Kreider provided an update on his injury.

Ready to Go

Kreider who is weathering out the COVID-19 Quarantine in Connecticut said on an NHL Zoom Conference his foot is fine. “My foot feels good,” he said. “Foot was better a few weeks ago, so I’ve been able to heal up and get it back to where it is now.” His availability to return when the NHL Pause is lifted was a foregone conclusion. However, it is good to hear it from him personally that there were no setbacks and he is good to go.
