Wolf Pack make 10th addition with AHL deals

Another week closer to the season and Hartford continues to add to the roster for the upcoming season. On Wednesday afternoon Chris Drury announced the signing of forward Shawn McBride to an AHL deal.

The 24 year old forward spent the last 4 seasons with American International College (AIC) in Atlantic Hockey. In his senior year, McBride notched 4 goals, 19 assists for 23 points. His career total in Atlantic Hockey is 19 goals, 42 assists for 61 points.

In addition to his college resume, the forward joined Hartford late last season through an ATO agreement. McBride participated in 5 games, collecting one assist.

The signing continues to add more depth to Hartford’s roster. If he cannot earn a spot in Hartford, then he would be in Maine with the Mariners. Training camp will have plenty of questions in regards to who plays where.

Currently Hartford has 10 players on AHL deals:

  • Shawn McBride (F)
  • Nick Jones (F)
  • Zach Tolkinen (D)
  • Jeff Taylor (D)
  • Greg Chase (F)
  • Lewis Zerter-Gossage (F)
  • Ryan Dmowski (F)
  • Vincent LoVerde (D)
  • Tom McCollum (G)
  • Harry Zolniercyzk (F)

If you also add in players who are on contracts with New York, the mix and matches of lines in Hartford could get interesting. The summer continues to be good for the organization. The true results will come on ice when the season begins. On paper the organization looks to be in a solid shape. Let’s hope Hartford is able to do well and be successful on ice next.
