New York Rangers 2020-21 training camp schedule and key events

The New York Rangers are set to embark on one of their most exciting seasons yet. With only 56 grueling games against fierce rivals, the team will need to be ready from the word “GO”.

Here are some key dates and events for NYR fans to be aware of:

January 2

Team President, John Davidson and General Manager Jeff Gorton will address the media at 11AM ET.

January 3

Off-Ice testing begins and Head Coach, David Quinn will address the media (Time TBD)

Training Camp Scrimmages Begin

Monday, Jan. 4

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group A on-ice
  • 11:30 a.m. – Scrimmage between Group A and Group B
  • 12:30 p.m. – Group B on-ice
  • Media Availability via zoom following scrimmage (for Group A players) and following Group B session

Tuesday, Jan. 5

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group B on-ice
  • 11:30 a.m. – Scrimmage between Group A and Group B
  • 12:30 p.m. – Group A on-ice
  • Media Availability via zoom following scrimmage (for Group B players) and following Group A session

Wednesday, Jan. 6

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group A on-ice
  • 12:30 p.m. – Group B on-ice
  • Media Availability via zoom following Group A session and following Group B session

Thursday, Jan. 7

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group B pre-game skate
  • 11:45 a.m. – Group A pre-game skate
  • 7:00 p.m. – Scrimmage between Group A and Group B
  • Media Availability via zoom following scrimmage

Friday, Jan. 8

  • Team is Off

Saturday, Jan. 9

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group B on-ice
  • 11:30 a.m. – Scrimmage between Group A and Group B
  • 12:30 p.m. – Group A on-ice
  • Media Availability via zoom following scrimmage (for Group B players) and following Group A session

Sunday, Jan. 10

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group A on-ice
  • 11:30 a.m. – Scrimmage between Group A and Group B

Monday, Jan. 11

  • 10:30 a.m. – Group A pre-game skate

The Rangers will have a day off on January 12 followed by a regular practice by the full team on January 13.

Regular season begins on January 14 at MSG against the New York Islanders.
