Igor Shesterkin back in NY Rangers lineup, Gallant hints at another change
The New York Rangers will go back to Igor Shesterkin as they return home to face the Arizona Coyotes.
This season, the Blueshirts are 3-3-3 at Madison Square Garden and have been outscored by a 27-22. Aside from looking to avoid a losing streak after a 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, the team wants to snap an 0-2-1 skid in their last three home games.

“He had the flu yesterday morning and his teeth are really bothering him so he spent the morning in the dentist’s chair,” Gerard Gallant said via the team’s YouTube channel. “That’s the latest update I got.”
There’s no work on when he will be available to return.
NY Rangers lineup vs Coyotes
Shesterkin, 26, is 7-2-2 on the season with a GAA of 2.53 and a SV% of .909. At the Garden, he’s 3-2-2 with a .910 SV% and a 2.53 GAA.
For his career against the Coyotes, Shesterkin is a perfect 2-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA but a .898 SV%.
As for the lineup, Gallant hinted that their could be one change.
“There might be one and you’ll find out soon,” he said.
One potential swap could be Ryan Carpenter coming in for Ryan Reaves.
