Rd 2 Gm 3: Contain Ovechkin, Win the Game (NYR at WSH 7:30PM)
Almost every major outlet out there is talking about Alex Ovechkin and how the Rangers may be in trouble. Currently in this series the Caps have scored 4 goals and half of them are Ovechkin’s.
The Blueshirts also have 4 goals in this series, all scored by different players. So it’s becoming apparent, shut down Ovechkin and win the game. A victory tonight will give the Rangers a 2-1 advantage and could pave the way for a short series.
[su_quote cite=”Blueshirts United” url=”https://www.blueshirtsunited.com/article/rangers-comfortable-and-confident-verizon-center”]”It takes five guys to defend him, I think,” stated veteran defenseman Dan Boyle. “We’re on the road here so we possibly won’t have the matchups we like, so it’s going to be a responsibility on everybody to do a job against their very productive line that can do a lot of damage.”[/su_quote]
Mission Set!
