New York Rangers have no timetable for Artemi Panarin return

The New York Rangers are refuting a report that Artemi Panarin asked for a two week leave of absence. Additionally, the Rangers are willing to give him all the time he needs.

Panarin’s leave of absence

“There is absolutely no timetable whatsoever,” Bob McKenzie said last night on NBCSN. “Panarin will take whatever time he feels is necessary, and we will see where it goes from there.”

McKenzie also went through the potential for Nazarov’s political motivation. He noted that the NHL is looking into it as well but stopped short from calling it an investigation.

Finally, he noted that Panarin can come back at any time as he’s a member in good standing with the Rangers and the NHL.
