While the Rangers have Flyers game for this Sunday has been postponed due to COVID issues in Philly, there’s some reports that the Blueshirts may replace them on February 21 in Lake Tahoe.
NHL may have New York Rangers as backup plan for Lake Tahoe
Gary Bettman announced a new event for before this season began called NHL Outdoors. These contests will be held at Lake Tahoe and will feature the Colorado Avalanche against Vegas Golden Knights on February 20 at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. The next game on February 21 will see the Boston Bruins versus Philadelphia Flyers at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

The question now remains to be seen if that won’t be changed include the New York Rangers. If so, it would require a major change for it to happen. As of now, they have a back to back against the Capitals in Washington. Which means the Bruins would be pulled as well.
It was also noted before the season started that the Rangers were not interested in playing any outdoor games. If need be, it sounds like they will do what the league wants.
