The New York Rangers worked a point last night against the Bruins thanks to their fourth line. Artemi Panarin was hampered by a lower-body injury that the Rangers hope can be nursed well enough to play the Friday.

Here’s the latest news and notes concerning the Blueshirts.

Rangers vs Flyers postponed

Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers has been postponed. So far, several members of the Flyers have been put on the NHL’s COVID Protocol List and this has prompted the league to action.

Latest on Tony DeAngelo trade talk

Bob McKenzie provided an update on the Tony DeAngelo situation on NBCSN last night. When asked if a trade was close McKenzie quickly replied, “the short answer is no.”

According to hockey’s premier insider, “the sense I get is that the slow play here is the best play here for some of teams interested in DeAngelo.” That way the heat any team would face in acquiring the 25 year-old defenseman will die down.

He followed that up with noting there are many teams continuing to have conversations not only with the Rangers, but DeAngelo’s agent Pat Brisson. The four team known to have checked in so far are the Red Wings, Ducks, Flames, and Kings.

Former Rangers ponders if DeAngelo deserves another chance

Nick Kypreos and Doug Maclean discussed if Tony DeAngelo deserves another chance.
