With the clock winding down on the 2024 NHL trade deadline, the New York Rangers acquired forward Jack Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Rangers will send a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2026 draft to the Blue Jackets.

Roslovic shoots right and can play center or on the wing. He has 23 points (six goals, 17 assists) in 40 games this season.

The 27-year-old has been his most productive heading toward the deadline. Roslovic has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in his past 12 games.

Roslovic’s agent, Claude Lemieux, told Forever Blueshirts that his client is “very excited” to come to the Rangers.

Lemieux added that Roslovic brings “speed, hands, scoring, and able to play with any of the top players they have.”

The No. 25 overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets, Roslovic has 77 goals and 213 points in 426 games over eight seasons. He scored an NHL career-high 22 goals and 45 points with the Blue Jackets in 2021-22.

It’s not yet known where coach Peter Laviolette will slot Roslovic into the Rangers lineup. Since Alex Wennberg was already acquired Wednesday to be the 3C, Roslovic could play right wing on the third line or possibly on the top-line with Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider. Roslovic does have experience playing on the top line with Columbus.

Unless there’s an announcement coming after the 3 p.m. deadline, it’d appear that the Roslovic acquisition is the final one for the Rangers. New York also picked up depth defenseman Chad Ruhwedel from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday and added center Nic Petan in a minor-league move.
