Rangers Announce Mazanec Signing

NHL.com

As we posted yesterday on ForeverBlueshirts, the Rangers have signed goaltender Marek Mazanec and have assigned him to the Hartford Wolfpack.

Per Capfriendly, Mazanec and the Rangers have agreed to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650K at the NHL level and $150K at the minor league level.

The Rangers also assigned goaltender Alexandar Georgiev to the Hartford Wolfpack. The Rangers called up Georgiev yesterday subsequent to Henrik Lundqvist’s illness. It is a good sign that the Rangers have sent Georgiev back to Hartford because that means Henrik’s illness is not too severe.
