The New York Rangers posted a congratulatory note to Hartford Wolf Pack GM and Chris Drury’s assistant Ryan Martin.

“Congratulations to #NYR Assistant GM Ryan Martin on being named to the management group of the 2023 U.S. Men’s National Team,” the message read.

On Wednesday, USA Hockey announced that Martin will join the team in a management role along with Craig Conroy (assistant gm of the Calgary Flames).

“We’re fortunate to have both Ryan and Craig help us in putting together our team,” said USA GM Chris Clark in a release. “There’s a lot that goes into it and they’re both well-versed in what it takes to be successful on the international stage.”

In addition, former Rangers head coach David Quinn was named Team USA’s bench boss for the 2023 World Championship.

Martin has been involved with USA Hockey for a long time and has been instrumental in putting together three teams that have won Gold at the World Junior Championship in 2013, 2017, and 2021.

He’s currently in his second season as the general manager of the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Hartford is 26-24-4-7 and three points out of the final playoff spot in the Atlantic looking to end a long Calder Cup playoff drought that started in 2015-16.
