It’s been six long months, but New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil will return to the lineup for Game 3 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Per multiple reports, Chytil will be on the third line left wing centered by Alex Wennberg and Kaapo Kakko on the right. That drops Will Cuylle to left wing on the fourth line with Barclay Goodrow and Jimmy Vesey. Rookie Matt Rempe is the odd man out.

The Hurricanes have also made some changes with Evgeny Kuznetsov back centering the fourth line and goalie Pyotr Kochetkov replacing Frederik Andersen in net.

New York is looking to take a 3-0 stranglehold in this Eastern Conference Second Round series.

After being ruled out for the season on January 28 due to an upper-body injury, the 24-year-old made a surprise return to practice on April 12. Ever since that time, he’s been working on his conditioning and is ready to go.

In only 10 games this season, he registered just six assists before suffering a suspected concussion against the very same Hurricanes on November 2. Now Chytil will have a chance to exact a modicum of revenge against them.
