The New York Rangers will play outdoors for the first time in six seasons, when they face off with the Islanders in the 2024 NHL Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m so excited,” forward Artemi Panarin said after the Rangers defeated the Montreal Canadiens 7-4 on Thursday. “Honestly, I’m ready to play every game outdoors.”

The Rangers have won six straight heading into the Stadium Series, tied for their longest winning streak of the season.

But that’s just one of the intriguing numbers ahead of the outdoor contest this weekend.
