Rangers Practice Buzz: Tony DeAngelo looks like a scratch again for tomorrow

Good News: Tony DeAngelo was back skating with the main group today at practice.

Bad News: According to the line combinations and defense pairings, DeAngelo is skating as an extra. He will likely be scratched against NJ tomorrow night.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Not only did the Rangers win their last game against the Islanders, they shut them out. If past is prologue, coach David Quinn doesn’t like to make changes after a win.

DeAngelo has rejoined the varsity for practice but Rangers are skating in same combinations as Saturday, both up front and on D. Not likely to change tomorrow v NJD following a nearly spotless performance.
