Rangers Roundup: Tony DeAngelo responds to Max Kellerman Hot Take, MSG Training Center likely to open Tuesday

Phase 2 of the NHL’s Return to Play begins tomorrow and the MSG Training Center will be opening soon. However, don’t expect the Rangers there tomorrow. According to a team source, the Center will open for players to train on Tuesday, or Wednesday the latest. This is still great news, and having Chris Kreider, who is fully healed on the ice will be wonderful to see.

Max Kellerman’s Hot Take on Hockey

ESPN’s talking head Max Kellerman offered quite a take on hockey. In essence, he mocked it and said it isn’t one of the 4 major sports in the U.S.. “Every town has 20,000 hockey fans and they all have season tickets,” Kellerman said was the running joke in the industry. Well, you can imagine this didn’t go over well.

DeAngelo and Hockey Community Take on Max

Tony DeAngelo led the charge on Kellerman’s woefully inaccurate take. That was followed by others from Claude Giroux of the Flyers, to Mike Milbury of NBC and even his colleague Linda Cohn.

By the way, you know hell has frozen over when you find yourself agreeing vehemently with Mike Milbury.
