The New York Rangers have made serious lineup announcements for today’s rematch against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Artemi Panarin will not play as he’s been placed on COVID-19 protocol. Morgan Barron has been called up from the taxi squad but will not play today. Instead, Tim Gettinger will get the start on the 4th line.

However, Patrik Nemeth has been scratched in favor of Zac Jones who will make his season debut.

Jones, 21, was selected by the Blueshirts in the third round (68th overall) during the 2019 NHL Draft. After an excellent college career, he made his Blueshirts debut at the tail end of last season picking up 4 assists in 10 games. This season for the Wolf Pack, he leads all defensemen in scoring with 17 points in 21 games.

On the other side, Andrei Vasilevskiy and Anthony Cirelli are off COVID list for the Lightning and both will play today.
