New York Rangers center Ryan Strome was taken out for the remainder of the game after injuring his right hand at the end of the second period.

An accidental collision between Strome and Islanders big defenseman Scott Mayfield caused the injury.

Strome immediately dropped his stick and gloves with a grimace. When the period ended, he was still wincing and could not hold his stick in that hand.

The 28 year-old had a goal and an assist before leaving.
