Ulf Samuelsson is now the head coach for the Carolina Hurricane’s AHL affiliate the Charlotte Checkers.

With the opening to coach the defense, does Alain Vigneault and the Rangers front office promote Jeff Beukeboom to his spot? Beukeboom was a member of the 1994 Cup team and has done extensive work with both Dylan McIlrath and Brady Skjei in Hartford.
