Arrest made in fake Alexis Lafreniere hockey cards
An apparent Alexis Lafrenière Pee-Wee Tournament card was being sold for around $100 on Ebay. According to recent reports, the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament warned that fake cards of Alexis with the tournament logo from 2013 was being sold online.

Quebec police announced that a 54 year-old woman from the Province was arrested in connection with the cards. Additionally, cards and digital hardware were seized.
Alexis Lafrenière has just started to come on for the Blueshirts with 3 points in last four games.

Québec, February 26, 2021 – On February 24, following a criminal investigation conducted by the Fraud and Proceeds of Crime Unit of the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ), the police proceeded to the arrest of a 54-year-old woman for fraud.
Following a search carried out as part of this investigation, several hockey cards and computer equipment were seized. The SPVQ investigation is still underway and charges could be filed later after analysis by the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP).
At the start of the investigation, initiated in December 2020, the SPVQ warned the population against counterfeit Alexis Lafrenière hockey cards and requested the collaboration of the public in order to advance it.
