Alain Vigneault just released his latest lineup for tonight’s game against Carolina. JT Miller is back in and Tanner Glass is (drumroll please…)
STILL NOT SCRATCHED! Instead, Lee Stempniak who has managed in his last 7 games: 0 points, 7 shots, 11 hits and -1 rating is out.
On the other hand, Tanner Glass in his 4 January appearances has 0 points, 3 shots, 20 hits (8 in one game against Boston) and an even rating. Of course, when the Rangers get shutout twice and only score 3 goals in those games…it’s his fault they lose.
Yes, a guy who has averaged 9.25 minutes a game is to blame. Do you realize that comes out to just a hair over 3 minutes a period and yet it’s a 4th line grinders fault?
And for the argument that he ruins the entire team’s bottom six? Why is it that Dominic Moore is averaging almost 3 more minutes a night than last season(14:23 to 11:71)? Maybe it is because they don’t have a reliable 3rd line center to take those defensive draws? Yes…that’s on Glass too.
