Breaking: NBA will allow teams to open practice facilities on May 1st, great news for NHL

In just the last few hours, reports are breaking that the NBA is going to allow teams in geographies where local governments have eased their stay-at-home restrictions to open facilities. This is huge news for NHL fans because they have been in almost lockstep with the NBA on dealing with COVID-19.

This is also coming off the heels of rumored reports that the NHL is going to start camps on June 1st. Added to that, NHL players will likely be reporting to their teams on May 15th.

So there you have it folks. It looks like hockey is well on its way to coming back. All that remains is just exactly how they will return? Will we get a resumption of sorts to the regular season? Or will they jump into an expanded playoff format? We will soon find out.
