New York Rangers prospects Brennan Othmann and Jaroslav Chmelar have advanced with their respective countries to the semifinals at the World Junior Championships.

Czechia was able to rout Switzerland by a 9-1 margin on Monday and will square off against Sweden, who took out Rangers prospect Kalle Vaisanen of Finland by a 3-2 score.

Adam Sykora played his heart out for Slovakia, but watched his team fall to Canada thanks to an OT goal by expected 2023 first overall pick Connor Bedard, who leads all skaters with 21 point in just five games.

That means Rangers top prospect Brennan Othmann will continue his quest to win back-to-back WJC Gold with Canada as they take on Team USA, who pounded Germany by an 11-1 score.
