Get to know new Ranger, Keith Yandle
The Blueshirts have traded Anthony Duclair, defenseman John Moore along with a 2015 second round pick and a 2016 first round pick. Ladies and gents, welcome Keith Yandle.
New Rangers acquisition Keith Yandle is a 28 year old defensemen present with the Coyotes during the 2012 Cup run and eventual loss to the LA Kings in the Western Conference Finals. Signing as a unrestricted free-angent, Yandle’s been an effective defenseman for the Coyotes since 2006.
Yandle, is a Massachusetts native, married to Kristyn and father of Mila born in 2011. He also fulfills the cool Playoff facial hair quota left unfulfilled with the departure of fellow Massachusetts native and former Ranger Brian Boyle.
Yandle has been known for his deep rooted ties in his hometown Boston community wearing a Martin Richard jersey after the Boston Marathon Bombings of 2014 where his brother and nephew were present and Richards was a fatal victim. Wearing the jersey during a Coyotes game, last year. Instead of auctioning the jersey off for charity, he personally delivered it himself.
