The 2020-21 season is in the books for the Wolf Pack. Hartford’s 24 game slate was completed in early May. The Wolf Pack finished with a record of 14-9-1 for 29 points. As the season progressed, noticeable storylines emerged.

Morgan Barron and Tarmo Reunanen had immediate impact on the squad and were knocking on the NHL door hard. Ty Ronning, with his expiring entry level contract made noise as well, becoming a consistent forward after being a scratch early on in the season. Adam Huska finishes his second full season with the Pack and has shown noticeable growth in the crease.

There are going to be plenty of changes from top to bottom in the organization. With respect to Hartford, the 2020-21 season was successful from a developmental standpoint. The next steps are going to be intriguing as Hartford’s former General Manager, Chris Drury is the top dog in New York.

In addition to roster changes, Hartford will have a change in management as the General Manager role needs to be filled. The next replacement must continue the success that Chris Drury and Kris Knoblauch established in Hartford. Back to back seasons showed a winning culture and strong development. They will need to keep that going.

Let’s look at the contracts and possible roster for next season.
