Looks like Igor Shesterkin will start for Rangers against Devils

Igor Shesterkin was in the starter’s net at practice today while both Alexandar Georgiev and Henrik Lundqvist shared the other. This is an indication that The Czar is ready to return to action and boost the Rangers playoff run which took a hit after the deadline because of injuries.

DQ says Igor looked really good today. He wants to talk it over with him and the trainers, but it sounds like there’s a real chance he starts tomorrow.

As for Kakko, DQ said he’s seen improvement offensively but felt they had to move him down for defensive concerns. #NYR

Metro Maulers

The Rangers have been awesome against the Metro this season. Beating divisional opponents is going to go a long way in the playoff hunt. Seven of their last 15 games are in their own division. This year they have a 14-7 record against them and it’s time to make it 15 wins on Saturday against NJ. It should also be noted that the team has 30 regulation wins that is the first tie breaker for the Wild Card. Rangers have the advantage over everyone in the running.
