New York Rangers acquire Anton Blidh and Wyatt Kalynuk
The New York Rangers announced on Friday the acquisition of forward Anton Blidh from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Gustav Rydahl. They also traded for defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk from the Vancouver Canucks for future considerations.
New York Rangers make minor moves
Kalynuk, 25, was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh-round of the 2017 draft. The left-handed defender amassed 9 points in 26 games before heading over to the Canucks.
Correction: Kalynuk was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Blidh, 27, has played 14 games this season with Avalanche registering no points. Originally selected by the Boston Bruins in the sixth-round of the 2013 Draft, he’s amassed 12 points in 84 games with 41 penalty minutes.
Rydahl, 28, was signed as a free agent by the Rangers out of Sweden this past summer. He collected 15 points in 40 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
