The Rangers selected the promising defenseman Matthew Robertson of the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft. The 19 year-old is a strong skater whose hockey IQ is considered way above average.

His skating and transition game makes his play anticipation and ability to control the puck a huge strong suit. Robertson has already got the Rangers believing he will one day start at the Garden as well.

Braden Schneider (2020 1st round) and Dylan Garand (2020 4th round) are still with Team Canada.
