The New York Rangers have officially announced a new third jersey for the 2023-24 campaign.

In this version, the shield is front and center over a dark blue jersey that has a multitude of stripes on the sleeves at the elbow. The Rangers previously used the shield as their primary logo for just two seasons from 1976 to 1978. It was short-lived because fans didn’t like them.

The new jerseys can be pre-ordered on the team’s website here.

Here’s the jersey breakdown on the MSG Shop:

This is the first time in 6 years that we will feature a non-event Alternate Third Jersey! This jersey was specially designed to be a modern expression of our Original Six brand. A nod to our past but a new interpretation of a New York Rangers jersey that suits today’s enduring fashion trends: bold color choices and contrasts, thoughtful design elements, and something that’s street-wearable.

No official word on when the Rangers will debut these new alternates, or if they will be used during the NHL Stadium Series. MetLife Stadium will play host to the Rangers vs Islanders contest set for February 18.
