NHL News: Jay Bouwmeester collapses, game suspended, alert en route to hospital

A frightening incident occurred tonight in Anaheim where Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester collapsed on the bench. A frantic scene erupted as Blues players called for medical attention and Bouwmeester was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Jay Bouwmeester just collapsed on the bench during a game against the Ducks.

The game has been postponed over concerns for Bouwmeester’s well being. Some good news as reports have surfaced that he was alert and responsive going to the hospital. Prayers from the hockey community are pouring in and we send them out as well.
