Nils Lundkvist continues to impress in record U20 season

Nils Lundkvist continues to be the Rangers top prospect.

The Rangers prospect pool is deep, but there is one Swedish defenseman who is lighting up prospect experts and the NHL execs alike. Nils Lundkvist is on a magnificent run in the SHL, as his 27 points and 20 assists are both the most by a defenseman in his U20 season or younger in the history of the league.

Incredible Prospect

The Rangers third 1st round pick in the 2018 draft has tallied 12 goals, 30 assists so far in his SHL career spanning 109 games. Those 42 points are the third-most by an U20 SHL defenseman in history. These numbers are impressive and it has me thinking the next Erik Karlsson should he continue to develop as expected.
