Just for anyone who isn’t familiar with how the #NHL trade deadline works. The trade call/paperwork must be in before 3:00PM. So in essence it can be concluded at 2:59PM and may take up to an hour to announce. With that said 30 MINUTES ON THE CLOCK!

Final hour. Jeff Gorton holds ALL the cards on McDonagh. The #NYR do not need to trade him now, aren’t winning anything either way. On the other hand, teams contending have to bite hard and swallow or they don’t get him. McD would be good in the rebuild too.
