Rangers and Buchnevich agree to terms, more moves coming

As noted earlier today, the Rangers and Pavel Buchnevich had likely agreed to terms but were waiting to announce. It looks like the Blueshirts will not wait until Monday as they inked Buchnevich to a 2 year bridge deal at $3.25M AAV.

More Moves Coming

Now the Rangers have to work on signing both remaining RFA’s Tony DeAngelo and Brendan Lemieux. That also means they need to make a deal (or two) and exercise one buyout on Brendan Smith.

I wrote this AM that the Rangers are looking to deal Vlad Namestnikov with some salary retain in order to sweeten the deal. That also means another deal of Ryan Strome likely. If they can’t do this, they will be forced to deal Chris Kreider for picks.
