Rangers place Sean Day on waivers for contract termination

In 2016, the Rangers first selection came in the 3rd round 81st overall. They took a chance on a big mobile rearguard by the name of Sean Day. The 6’2”, 230 pounder was considered a good skater but some weren’t sure he could be an NHL defenseman.

Sad Day

Unfortunately Day struggled with the Wolf Pack and was even demoted to the ECHL. Now the Rangers are cutting ties with Day to make room for future contracts.
