Rangers play tough but fall to Blues 3-1

The Rangers went toe-to-toe with the defending champs but eventually fell to another hot team. St. Louis has now won 8 straight while the Blueshirts are now on a three game slide.

Zibanejad Scores lone goal

Mika Zibanejad took sole possession of the Rangers goal lead with his 33rd on an early PP. It was the lone highlight for the Blueshirts in a game they needed at least one more.

Bad Goal

Midway through the third period, Alexandar misplayed a wraparound poorly and it turned out to be the eventual game winner. Brayden Schenn came from behind the net and whipped one across the crease that went in off Georgiev’s leg. After the game Georgiev said he needed to check the video but he thought Schenn had a few options. He finished with 19 saves on 21 shots.
