Rangers prospect update: Vitali Kravtsov plays on 2nd line for Traktor

Vitali Kravtsov’s team, Traktor opened their KHL season to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Avtomobilist. The 2018 first round pick fired 5 shots on goal in over 16 minutes of ice time.

In 2018-19, Kravtsov led all KHL players younger than 20 years old in goals (eight), assists (13), and points (21), and his 21 points were tied for the ninth-most by a player in his U20 season or younger in KHL history (tied with Artemi Panarin). #NYR

The 20 year-old right wing was featured on Traktor’s second line with the team’s captain, Sergei Kalinin. This is exactly why the Rangers agreed to loan him. Getting meaningful minutes in one of the premiere leagues overseas is better than just sitting around and training.
