Alexis Lafreniere is the most anticipated rookie in New York Rangers history. What we learn from the video is that he’s excited about playing even though he’s unsure of when camp will start.

It is also noteworthy that both he and K’Andre Miller are boarding with the same Billet family in the area.

The Rangers fourth round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft was added to the United States’ preliminary roster for the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship. Skinner registered 32 points in 62 games with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League last season.

Hunter spoke with us back in June and discussed his experience at the Rangers prospect camp last season. “Skating with a lot of highly skilled guys was great because it showed me what it takes to get to that level I want to reach eventually”, he said.

Two players he stays in touch with are Matthew Robertson, who was drafted the same day as Skinner, and Jake Elmer, who joined the Rangers organization as an undrafted free agent last year.
