Rangers Roundup: Draft picks finalized, free agency and prospect news

The NY Islanders are heading to the Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning. While that may not have been what 60% of Rangers fans wanted, it did move the Blueshirts second first round pick in the draft up to 22.

NY Rangers will select 1 and 22 in the first round

The Blueshirts will now pick 1st overall and 22nd thanks to the Islanders and Stars advancing into the Conference Finals. Jeff Gorton is said to be aggressive in trading that pick in a deal to improve his center position or left defense for next season.
