Rangers Roundup: Fans approve of David Quinn, K’Andre Miller close, and notes versus Stars

Your morning news and notes as the Rangers try to get back on track against the Dallas Stars tonight.

Fans approve of DQ

David Quinn’s name has been mentioned in hockey circles as a potential Jack Adams candidate. Of course, it will take making the playoffs to win the award, but fans recognize the job he’s done. In an ongoing poll I started on Twitter, fans overwhelmingly approve of his work this season. Currently with over 1700 votes in, 56% feel he’s done a very good job and 18% think it’s Jack Adams worthy. Only 7% feel he needs to improve.

K’Andre Miller

The two sides continue to discuss a deal. The hold up is Miller’s camp wants to sign an ELC now, while the Rangers would like to go with a try out contract first, then an ELC starting next season. Either way, it sounds like the two will agree on something as soon as today.
