The New York Rangers have announced that Gerard Gallant, Mike Kelly, Julien Gauthier and Ryan Reaves have cleared Covid protocol. All are should be back and active tonight with they visit the Philadelphia Flyers.
In addition, assistant coach Gord Murphy has entered Covid protocol. As for temporary head coach Kris Knoblauch he has returned to the Wolf Pack to resume head coaching duties. The Blueshirts were 1-1 in the two games he coached. Dating back to last season he is 5-3-0 in eight career games as a temporary head coach.
Rangers send down Keith Kinkaid
The Rangers also made some taxi squad moves by sending down Keith Kinkaid to the Wolf Pack. In his place, the Blueshirts added Tyler Wall.
Taxi squads will remain in effect until the All-Star Break from February 4-5. One of the rules of the squads are no player can be on it for more than 20 days. That is the reason for the shuttle between either the active roster or Wolf Pack.
Update: Anthony Greco has been assigned to the taxi squad.

Kinkaid, signed by the Rangers as an unrestricted free agent on October 9th, 2020, has posted a 10-1-2 record to go with a .906 save percentage and 2.78 goals against average this season with the Wolf Pack. Kinkaid made 29 saves in his lone appearance with the Rangers this season, defeating the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on December 15th.
Wall, selected in the sixth round (174th overall) by the Rangers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in four games with the Wolf Pack this season. In his four appearances, Wall has posted a record of 1-3-0, with an .876 save percentage and 4.32 goals against average.
