Rangers Roundup: Kakko on ice, Panarin for MVP, and more
As we anticipate local members of the New York Rangers to hit the ice at the MSG Training Facility today, Kaapo Kakko continues his on ice workouts in Finland. Today the young phenom posted another video of himself on Instagram take one-timers in preparation for training camp in July.
Panarin MVP Talk
The ballots went out to the writers to cast their votes for the NHL Awards. While many feel that Leon Draisaitl is a shoe-in to win it, there’s some strong sentiment out there that Artemi Panarin deserves serious consideration as well. Draisaitl has all the numbers on the surface to beat Panarin, but strictly at even strength the Breadman’s numbers are better. However they have an Art Ross Trophy for pure stats, and when it comes to importance to a team, I’m not sure how Panarin isn’t more vital.
