Jesper Fast, New York’s Players’ Player Award winner is 28 years-old and will be reduced to third line duties as Kaapo Kakko moves up the lineup. It isn’t even a matter of money but of playing time for the Rangers right-wing. Also, if the team is committed to Kravtsov and Gauthier for next season, he’s the odd man out.

Next year, the Blueshirts RW’s are likely to be as follows:

  • Pavel Buchnevich
  • Kaapo Kakko
  • Vitali Kravtsov
  • Julien Gauthier
