Rangers Roundup: Tony DeAngelo confident on future, MSGN unveils new player spotlight, and more

More Rangers news you need to be up to date.

The Rangers have a day off today but will be back at it against the Buffalo Sabres at the Garden. Of course, the news doesn’t stop in Rangerstown so let’s check the latest.

DeAngelo not worried about getting dealt

Vince Mercogliano of Lohud spoke with Tony DeAngelo on the upcoming trade deadline and if he had any concerns.

“I don’t really have much of a thought process on it,” the 24-year-old said when asked about the Feb. 24 trade deadline. “Whatever happens, happens. Obviously, I want to stay, but I haven’t even thought into it. We’re hoping to be in a position where either nobody is leaving or we’re buying. That’s the goal.”

DeAngelo said he “felt pretty confident” that he would remain a Ranger and as I said here, the organization is very impressed with him. Read the rest of the article to get more insight into DeAngelo and his possible next deal as well.

Artemi Panarin will be featured on MSGN

During tomorrow’s Rangers game, a new feature called “MSG Networks Spotlight” will debut. Fans will get an up close and personal view on superstar Artemi Panarin. Viewers will be given dedicated cameras on the Breadman not just on the ice but on the bench. MSGN will also add custom graphics and an increased two box format to make sure the spotlight stays on Panarin.

The new feature doesn’t stop there because during the intermission the focus will continue with player and reporter interviews that know him well. Finally, for those with the MSG GO app, you can select an exclusive Breadman cam to keep your eyes on him at all times. This is a great new feature and I can’t wait to see other players highlighted.
