Rangers scouts at the Avalanche game again, what could a Kreider trade look like

The New York Rangers scouts were at today’s Avalanche game in Colorado. Of course, they were likely there to scout Detroit who are their next opponent after they face off against the Islanders tomorrow. Still when it comes to Colorado, you can’t avoid the Chris Kreider trade possibility. And maybe the Rangers are killing two birds with one stone.

Kreider to the Avs trade makeup

So what would a deal with the Avalanche look like if Kreider is indeed traded as a rental at the deadline? Even if the Rangers decide to retain 50% of Kreider’s salary, the asking price starts with a 1st rounder. I reached to Adrian Dater of ColoradoHockeyNow.com to get his thoughts on a deal.

The last several games involving the Avs have had scouts from the Blueshirts in the press box, including today’s game with the Detroit Red Wings. Are the Rangers really that concerned about that March 11 game at the Pepsi Center against the Avs? Yeah, no, I don’t think so.

Adrian Dater

According to Dater, he feels the Avs would likely be willing to part with their 1st rounder and a prospect. Another name connected in possible Kreider rumors is Avs prospect and 2018 first round pick Martin Kaut. When asked about the talented Czech prospect, he said it’s either Kaut or their first, not both.

Hasn’t Martin Kaut struggled this year in the AHL though? Think he has 3 goals this year.

Lol. A Kreider ‘trade’ will look remarkably lkke a new contract. And maybe a big fat C.

I hope so. Any trade for picks will be a loss as long as Gordie Clark is still employed by the Rangers

If the ask is a first and a prospect why would they scout the avalanche games? Wouldn’t both assets not be playing?

Last comment on Lundqvist from what people said in the other thread.

This notion Hank is ENTITLED to finish how he wishes – at an 8 5M cap hit no less, even as a backup lol – because of an NMC clause is NONSENSE.

That crease does not belong to Henrik Lundqvist. It belongs to the Rangers.

Little question if his play hadn’t slipped so dramatically the team wouldn’t be forced to choose. But they are forced, they cannot have a rebuild and a failing goalie and deal a perfectly good kid. Doesn’t matter that we’ll have two DYNAMITE kids between the pipes, that’s our advantage…Henrik will be 38 in a few weeks, in the reflex position, the most important position on the ice .
This same has happened to every single athlete in sports history, NMC clause or not
    It’s really nothing against anybody.

its nature. Ask Babe Ruth, Wilt Chamberlain, Joe Montana or even Gordie Howie.

    I hear Sinatra. “And now, … … .. ….”

You list players like Babe, Wilt and Joe who were traded in their careers…… are you saying Gordie Howe was traded? You obsession with Hank has really affected you since Gordie retired with the Red Wings. He came out of retirement a year later to play with the Aeros who later became the Whalers after the merger. Even though the Wings still owner his rights they assured the Whalers they would not put in a claim for him.

For someone who tells people to drop it you can’t stop bringing up. Wasting your time and energy trying to convince yourself Hank is going to be dealt.

Gordie Clark-the ‘genuis’ that brought us Lias Andersson, Mçilrath, and so many other useless talents. HE NEEDS TO GO. I personally think Kravtsov is gonna be a bust too. Notice how Clark always scouts guys with the following attributes/description, and I quote: ..”He is not an elite scorer..” Clark NEEDS to go.

Hank has to move over for the younger goalies. We all get old but you have to realize it!

Oh he’ll move over… on the bench, for the Rangers, collecting his $ until his contract ends, let’s get used to that.
