The worst kept secret in the hockey world is almost “officially” out in the open. Tomorrow morning at 11:30 am, the New York Rangers will be holding a press conference to officially announce David Quinn as the 35th Head Coach in Rangers history. The press will finally get to talk to Quinn and fans will get to see and hear just what the former Boston University bench boss will have to say about the team going forward.

It’s been widely reported this week that Quinn would be the Rangers new bench boss and seemingly all of the hockey world, from Bob McKenzie and John Shannon to Rick Carpiniello and Larry Brooks confirming the signing. With GM Jeff Gorton back from the World Championships, the conference finals reaching their conclusion and the Stanley Cup Finals not starting until next week, it’s as good a time as any to introduce David Quinn as the next head coach.
