Rangers Smith nominated for Masterton Trophy

According to multiple reports, Rangers F/D Brendan Smith has been selected as the team’s representative in the Bill Masterton Trophy race.

The award, which honors the player that “best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey,” is voted on annually by the Professional Hockey Writers Association. Previous winners include former Rangers Jean Ratelle, Rod Gilbert, Adam Graves, Dominic Moore, and Brian Boyle.
